About Me

My photo
I'm an Army wife and aspiring author, published by Evernight Publishing. I primarily write M/M, but I'm starting to branch out. I'm not very good at technology, but I'm hoping this blog gives me the opportunity to communicate with other authors and readers. My life is kept interesting by my soldier, Ringo the chihuahua, and all the amazing people that I consider friends. I also work entirely too much as a coach at a local gym, a caregiver at a church nursery, and a freelance baker.

Happy Halloween!

If you remember, I worked at a music festival this past weekend. I'd call it a success, but holy shiz. I was SO sore and not even in the good way. Serious, head to toe ouchies. I was up from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. carrying shit to set up, dropping it like it's hot every time I had to make change because the cash box was on the ground, walking a mile just to bring food to the front gate guy (who I'm married to so I friggin' had to), plus dealing with bands which is a job in and of itself.

But, the plus side, I got to hear some of the best local bands in Central Texas. Because I'm awesome, I'll link to the pages of my favorites at the end of this blog.

Anywho, the point of this post is to prove I'm still alive (woohoo!). The good news is now I'm down to just being in school and having 2 jobs. Except I might be selling baked goods to a local restaurant once I work out a deal. So we might be up to 3 again real fast.

Clicky click the links to super awesome bands:
Autumn Stay-They headlined the show. They're seriously awesome and I love them.
Hills of Verona-I didn't really get to see their performance, but I heard it and they sounded great.
We Are Wombat-Seriously, the sweetest guys. They were so respectful and just plain nice.

I'd love to hear your comments!

He told me he really loves that you follow my blog. It turns him on.

Halloween and all that

Hey, lovely readers!

I was asked by a few of you if I would be participating in a Halloween blog hop.

Short answer: Nope, sorry.

Long answer: You see, I'm a crazy person. And as a crazy person, I occasionally do crazy things. Which is why I, a hobbyist baker at best, agreed to provide baked goods for a local music festival this weekend. My kitchen has gotten an unprecedented amount of use in the past few days because I only have 3 mixing bowls, one cookie sheet, and one cupcake pan thingy. I've lost count of how many cookies and cupcakes I've made. I'm pretty sure the food dye has permanently stained my hands. I spilled flour down my shirt yesterday. So yeah, I'd say things are going well.

This is in addition to being in school, working two part time jobs, dealing with my man-child of a husband,  and trying to pretend I have a social life (I don't have a social life, by the way).

There would be more to this, but my laptop is pissing me off. No, stupid computer, I don't want to italicize everything. Jeezus!

Evernight Publishing Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Evernight Publishing birthday blog hop!
Evernight Publishing opened its doors two years ago. In those two years we’ve signed over one hundred and sixty authors and published over three hundred books. From paranormal to contemporary, we’ve had more best sellers than we can count and made thousands of people smile, sigh and gasp. So, as a thank you to all our readers and everyone who has supported us, we’re holding this blog hop and we have a whole lot of prizes to offer you.
Here's how it works... the more blogs you hop to (shown below) the more chance you have of winning prizes. Each author on the hop is offering a prize and Evernight is offering the following grand prizes, a Kindle, a $100 Amazon gift certificate, two Evernight swag bags (which includes a tote, a tee, vouchers, a mug and other coolness) and a personalized Facebook banner. To be in with a chance of winning the author prize simply follow the blog you're visiting and leave a comment which includes your email address. Each entry on each blog is then counted towards the grand prize draw. The more entries you have, the better your chance of winning a grand prize! You also get extra points for liking the Evernight Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/evernightpublishing. Just make sure you let us know in the comments that you've done so.
Good luck and happy hopping!
